Peplink SDX is a 12Gbps modular enterprise router with FlexModule expansion, multi-WAN connectivity, and SpeedFusion to keep branches online and resilient.

Category: Brand:

Peplink SDX is a modular enterprise router designed to deliver high throughput today while keeping your WAN and LAN options flexible for the future. In the official tech specs, SDX is rated for 12Gbps router throughput, helping it fit bandwidth-heavy branches and edge sites that need room to grow.

Out of the box, Peplink SDX is built for real-world WAN diversity. The official product page highlights a strong baseline mix: 2 Ethernet WAN ports, 2 Gigabit fiber WAN ports, 2 USB WAN ports, and 8 integrated LAN ports that can also power devices via PoE+. When your environment changes, SDX supports modular expansion; in the tech specs, SDX can support 2–10 Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports and 8–18 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports (depending on configuration), plus 2/6 10G SFP+ ports for higher-speed fiber connectivity.

For SD-WAN resilience, SDX supports SpeedFusion VPN throughput listed at 1Gbps (no encryption) and 600Mbps (256-bit AES), enabling secure overlays and multi-uplink continuity. The tech specs also list up to 300 SpeedFusion VPN peers and up to 200 IPsec tunnels, supporting scalable site-to-site designs.

Operationally, SDX includes enterprise controls: application and web blocking, full web content filtering, and support for 1024 VLANs for segmentation. It also supports centralized cloud management plus QoS features such as bandwidth usage monitoring and QoS for VoIP/e-commerce traffic.

If you’re planning edge compute, note that SDX tech specs list external storage via USB (with firmware 8.4.0+) and state it supports Docker under those conditions.
