Peplink HD4 MBX 5G

Peplink HD4 MBX 5G is a quad-5G mobility router built for high-demand deployments that can’t afford downtime. It combines four 5G links into a resilient SD-WAN connection using SpeedFusion, enabling fast backhaul for mobile operations, temporary sites, and critical field services.

At the core, it supports up to 2.5 Gbps router throughput and up to 600 Mbps SpeedFusion VPN throughput (or 500 Mbps with 256-bit AES). With four 5G cellular modem interfaces and eight Mini-SIM slots, you can spread traffic across multiple operators, run instant failover, or bond links for more consistent throughput.

The HD4 MBX platform also supports an optional SIM Injector that can add another 8 cellular providers, helping mitigate coverage weak spots and manage multi-SIM strategies.

Wi-Fi is available for both AP and Wi-Fi WAN, supports multiple SSIDs, and provides another uplink option when nearby Wi-Fi is available. On the wired side, you can configure 3 Ethernet WAN + 8 LAN or 2 WAN + 9 LAN (Gigabit Ethernet). The unit supports up to 8x 802.3at PoE+ output (power availability depends on DC input configuration), useful for powering cameras, access points, or other endpoints from the same box. It is sized for demanding teams with a recommended user range of 50–500.

Mobility and manageability features include GPS, InControl 2 cloud management, ignition sensing, dead reckoning, VLANs, captive portal, IPv6, and x.509 certificate support. For edge compute scenarios, Peplink HD4 MBX 5G can be ordered in the MBX MediaFast version to add internal storage for edge computing (application workloads and virtualization options as supported).
