Peplink HD2 MBX 5G

Peplink HD2 MBX 5G is a high-performance dual-5G mobility router built for deployments that need bandwidth and resilience on the move. It combines two 5G links into a secure SD-WAN connection with SpeedFusion, helping you stay online for critical operations even when coverage or congestion changes.

Peplink HD2 MBX 5G supports up to 2.5 Gbps router throughput and up to 600 Mbps SpeedFusion VPN throughput (or 500 Mbps with 256-bit AES). With two 5G cellular modem interfaces and four Mini-SIM slots, you can run multi-operator strategies, fail over instantly, or bond links for more consistent throughput. Wi-Fi is available for both AP and Wi-Fi WAN, supports multiple SSIDs, and adds another uplink option when nearby Wi-Fi is available.

Wired I/O is built for real deployments: you can configure 3 Ethernet WAN + 8 LAN or 2 WAN + 9 LAN (Gigabit Ethernet). That’s enough to connect cameras, workstations, access points, and IoT devices locally while keeping dedicated backhaul paths. The platform is sized for larger field teams, with a recommended user range of 50–500.

For network control and segmentation, it supports VLANs, captive portal, IPv6, and x.509 certificate support, along with application and web blocking and QoS functions. Mobility-grade capabilities include GPS, ignition sensing, and dead reckoning, plus up to 8x 802.3at PoE+ output (power availability depends on DC input configuration). It also supports RemoteSIM and FusionSIM, with Peplink eSIM Data Plans / BYO eSIM available on supported hardware/firmware.

Use cases include live streaming, telemedicine, temporary sites, or pop-up branches where uptime matters and fixed lines aren’t guaranteed. With Peplink HD2 MBX 5G, you can tune SpeedFusion for hot failover, smoothing, and bandwidth bonding to match the application.
