Peplink Balance 580X

Peplink Balance 580X is a high-capacity SD-WAN branch router built for sites that need fast multi-WAN performance and predictable failover. It provides 5× Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports and 3× Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, plus a 1× USB WAN modem port for additional connectivity options. Performance is rated at 4Gbps router throughput, and SpeedFusion VPN throughput is 500Mbps (including 256-bit AES), giving you headroom for cloud apps, VoIP, and always-on business traffic.

VPN, security, and policy controls

Peplink Balance 580X supports SpeedFusion VPN with 50 or 100 peers (peers can be increased to 100 with the SFN-LC-100 license). It also supports IPsec VPN with up to 100 tunnels, and includes remote-user VPN server capability (L2TP/OpenVPN/PPTP) with up to 100 users, plus RADIUS/LDAP authentication support.
For policy enforcement, it includes application and web blocking and Full web content filtering. For traffic control and visibility, it supports bandwidth usage monitoring, QoS for VoIP and E-Commerce, and user groups bandwidth control, with NetFlow support for reporting.

Optional LTE/5G expansion without replacing hardware

The chassis includes one FlexModule Mini slot and can support up to one cellular modem via that module, with up to two SIM slots (requires FlexModule Mini). The Balance 380X/580X family also highlights LTE/5G failover and out-of-band management via FlexModule Mini, and supports SpeedFusion Cloud activation for deployments that don’t want to stand up a second physical endpoint.
