Peplink Balance 380X

Peplink Balance 380X is a fixed and advanced wireless broadband SD-WAN router built for branch offices that can’t afford downtime. With 3× Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports and 3× Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, it can load-balance multiple links and fail over automatically when a circuit degrades. Router throughput is rated at 3Gbps, giving you headroom for day-to-day traffic, security services, and cloud applications. A USB WAN modem port is also available for additional connectivity options.

For resilient site-to-site connectivity, the unit supports SpeedFusion VPN up to 500Mbps (including 256-bit AES). SpeedFusion Bandwidth Bonding, Hot Failover, and WAN Smoothing help keep critical sessions stable across changing WAN conditions—ideal for VoIP, point-of-sale, and real-time business apps. By default, 30 SpeedFusion peers are enabled, and you can scale up to 100 peers with the SpeedFusion Bonding license (SFN-LC-100).

When you need cellular resilience, Peplink Balance 380X includes a FlexModule Mini slot that lets you add LTE or 5G (up to 1 cellular modem, depending on the module). This modular approach also enables out-of-band management and “bandwidth-on-demand” deployments—use wired WANs for everyday traffic and bring LTE/5G online automatically during outages or peak demand.

Key capabilities that help with policy and control include:

• Drop-In Mode for simplifying deployments in existing networks

• Inbound load balancing for publishing services across multiple WANs

• Application and web blocking, plus full web content filtering

• Advanced QoS, bandwidth usage monitoring, and user group bandwidth control

• IPsec VPN (network-to-network) and remote-user VPN servers (L2TP/PPTP/OpenVPN)

Operations teams also get enterprise management features such as InControl 2 cloud management, high availability, and LAN bypass. If you need a cloud-based SpeedFusion endpoint, the platform can activate SpeedFusion Cloud with a click, reducing the need to deploy a second on-premises endpoint. For networks using Peplink APs, AP Controller Pro supports centralized management and up to 50 controlled APs/switches, with multiple configuration profiles.

In a 1U rackmount form factor (17.3 × 10.4 × 1.73 in), Peplink Balance 380X fits neatly into wiring closets, remote branches, and MSP-managed customer sites.
