Peplink Balance 310X

Peplink Balance 310X is an enterprise SD-WAN router built for medium-sized branches that need high throughput and resilient connectivity. With 2× Gigabit Ethernet WAN and 9× Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, it supports multi-WAN load balancing and intelligent failover while keeping the branch LAN layout simple and scalable. Routing performance is rated at 2.5Gbps, giving you headroom for cloud apps, voice, and day-to-day business traffic.

Peplink Balance 310X router is built For secure, stable site-to-site networking, it supports SpeedFusion VPN with up to 600Mbps throughput (no encryption) or 500Mbps with 256-bit AES. SpeedFusion capabilities—including Hot Failover, WAN Smoothing, and Bandwidth Bonding—are designed to reduce disruption from packet loss and unstable links. It also supports SpeedFusion Connect (CarePlan includes 1TB/year complimentary SpeedFusion Connect usage data).

Connectivity is designed to stay up even when wired circuits don’t. Peplink Balance 310X includes one embedded cellular modem and two SIM slots, and Peplink lists cellular modem options ranging from CAT-12 and CAT-20 to 5G, depending on SKU/hardware revision. The platform supports RemoteSIM and FusionSIM, and newer hardware revisions support Peplink eSIM Data Plans and BYO eSIM (firmware/SKU dependent). On the network-control side, you get inter-VLAN routing with up to 1024 VLANs, inbound load balancing, and bandwidth tools such as bandwidth usage monitoring, QoS for VoIP and e-commerce, and user group bandwidth controls. Security features include application and web blocking plus full web content filtering. For visibility and integrations, NetFlow is supported, and the router supports LACP (802.3ad) NIC bonding (firmware dependent) and jumbo frames. Centralized operations are handled through InControl 2 from Peplink.

VPN options go beyond SpeedFusion: it supports IPsec VPN with up to 40 tunnels, and can run a PPTP/L2TP/OpenVPN server for up to 50 remote users (with RADIUS/LDAP authentication support). It also supports up to 5 site-to-site OpenVPN tunnels and 5 GRE tunnels. Combined with Drop-In Mode, High Availability, a fanless design, and a wide operating temperature range (-40°C to 65°C), this router fits demanding branch and industrial edge deployments.
